Rattle in a 1960's hollow-body Gretsch

This guitar had a loud rattle on some notes. I traced it down to the pots. I couldn't replace them because it would reduce the value of the guitar. So I drilled a 3/8" hole is some rubber gasket material from the hardware store and cut small washers. I put the knobs back on tightly and like magic, no rattle.
